Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Mayrif Group collects when you use this website, order Mayrif Series books or contact us, why we collect it, and your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

1. Who we are

Mayrif Group ("we", "us") publishes the Mayrif Series JUPEB study books and runs this website. We are based in Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria, and we are responsible for the personal information described here.

2. What we collect and why

  • Orders: your name, email, phone number, university or JUPEB centre, delivery address, the books you order, any note you add, and any partner or referral code you use. We use this to process your order, confirm payment, deliver your books, send order updates and keep accounting records. Legal basis: performing our contract with you, and our legal obligations.
  • Payment receipts you upload: the photo or PDF of your transfer receipt, used only to confirm your payment. We check every payment against our own bank account. Basis: contract.
  • Your referral code: after your order is paid we create a referral code linked to your name and phone number, so we can apply discounts for your friends and record the rewards you earn. Basis: contract (the referral offer).
  • Contact form and WhatsApp: your name, email, optional phone number and message, used to reply to you. Basis: our legitimate interest in answering you.
  • "Recent orders" notice (optional): only if you tick the box, your first name, university and combination may appear briefly on the website after your order is paid. You can ask us to remove it at any time. Basis: your consent.
  • Analytics (only with your consent): anonymous statistics such as pages viewed and buttons clicked, through Google Analytics. We do not use it to identify you. Basis: your consent.

We do not collect card details. If online card payment is added in future, card details will be handled entirely by the payment provider.

3. Cookies and browser storage

We store your cookie choice in your browser. The order page and dashboard use only what is needed to work. Analytics cookies load only if you accept them, and you can change your choice any time with the link.

4. Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that run our business, and only what each needs:

  • Netlify (website hosting and secure storage of order records and receipts);
  • Google (Gmail, to send your order emails; Google Analytics, only with your consent);
  • WhatsApp (when you message us);
  • CallMeBot (a messaging service that forwards new-order alerts to our own WhatsApp: it receives the order reference, your name, phone number, books and state);
  • Delivery companies (your name, phone number and address, to deliver your books);
  • authorities, where the law requires it.

Some of these providers store data outside Nigeria. Where they do, we rely on their published security and data-protection commitments, and we share no more than is necessary.

5. How long we keep it

  • Order records: 6 years after the order, for accounting and tax purposes, then deleted;
  • Uploaded payment receipts: 12 months after upload, then deleted;
  • Contact-form messages: 12 months, then deleted;
  • Referral codes: while the referral offer runs or until you ask us to remove yours.

Deletion happens automatically. If these periods change, we will update this page.

6. How we protect it

The website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Order records are visible only to the Mayrif team through a password-protected dashboard. Payment receipts can only be opened from that dashboard. We collect only what we need.

7. Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete your information (we may need to keep order records we are legally required to keep);
  • stop or restrict how we use it, or object to it;
  • withdraw your consent (for analytics or the recent-orders notice) at any time.

Write to mayrifgroup26@gmail.com or WhatsApp us with your order reference if you have one. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

8. Children

Our books are for JUPEB students. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to place the order or agree to it.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
