How to Use JUPEB Past Questions to Pass
Past questions are the closest thing to the real exam you can practise with. Used well, they show you what JUPEB asks, how it asks it, and where you lose marks.
1. Start with one full year, timed
Pick one year and do the 50 objectives in one sitting with a timer, before you look at any answer. This shows you where you really stand.
2. Mark honestly, then read every explanation
Mark your answers, then read the worked explanation for every question, including the ones you got right. You may have been right for the wrong reason.
3. Keep a mistakes notebook
For each wrong answer, write the question, the correct method and why you went wrong. Revise this notebook every week; it becomes your most valuable revision book.
4. Learn the patterns
The same topics and question styles return year after year. After a few years of papers you will start recognising them, which is when your speed improves.
5. Write the essays in full
For Section B, write complete answers as you would in the exam, then compare with the model answer part by part. Note every step you skipped.
6. Space it out
One year every few days beats ten years the week before the exam. Leave the most recent years for full mock exams near the end.
